What is fuel polishing?

Fuel polishing is a process that cleans fuel by removing contaminants like water, rust, algae, sludge and more. We circulate the fuel, taking samples as we go, and we don't stop until it's clean. There is little to no loss of fuel.

Fuel Polishing FAQ's

1

Why polish fuel?

Increase engine performance, reduce fuel tank corrosion, eliminate downtime, fuel is expensive- preserve what you have, prevent emergency generator shutdown, and stop emergency service calls when clogged filters and water in fuel ground your fleet.

2

What type of fuel can you polish?

Diesel, Jet Fuel, Gasoline, Kerosene, and ethanol blends

3

What types of fuel tanks?

Boats, heavy machinery, home heating fuel tanks, storage tanks, and more! We can do tanks of any size, but we specialize in tanks larger than 300 gallons.

4

Do I need two ports of entry into my tank?

Nope! While two ports of entry allows more efficiency, we have specialized equipment that can deposit fuel into the top of the tank while simultaneously pulling from the bottom.

5

How much does it cost?

It depends on the job! We offer free fuel sampling where we drive out to you and sample your fuel so that you can make an educated decision. We offer free quotes!

6

How long does it take?

It depends on how many tanks you have, how dirty they are and how much fuel is in them. We can typically clean about 1500 gallons of dirty fuel in 2-4 hours.
